JoSAA 2016 announces sixth round seat allotment result on July 19

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2016 has announced seat allotment result of round 6 on July 19. Candidates can report for seat acceptance at the allotted reporting centres (RCs) on July 19 and 20 (from 10 am to 5 pm). Candidates can check seat allotment result of round 6 by entering their JEE Main 2016 roll number and password.

Only those candidates, who have been allotted seats for the first time in round 6 and those who have to appear for dual reporting, must report at the respective reporting centres (RC) and accept the seats. Once the candidates have accepted seats allotted to them, they have to report to the allotted institute as per the schedule. JoSAA 2016 seat acceptance fee for Gen, OBC-NCL or foreign national candidates is Rs.45,000, while for SC, ST, GEN-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD, seat acceptance fee is Rs.20,000.

 

Candidates are advised not to forget to carry their provisional admission letters to the allotted institutes. For admissions into NIT+System, the candidates who have accepted seats in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs must report at their respective institutes during July 22-26.

 

For all those candidates who have been maintaining float/slide options so far, their seats have been frozen as per the sixth round of seat allotment. Such candidates must report directly to the allotted institute as per the schedule and not at any of the reporting centres (RCs).

Earlier, JoSAA 2016 has announced seat allotment result for round 5 on July 17. This year, JoSAA is conducting 6 rounds of counselling and seat allotment for admissions to IITs, ISM, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Seat acceptance for round 6 will end on July 20.
