The much talked about National Eligibility- cum- Entrance Test (NEET) is now through with its both phase-I and phase-II of the examinations. Last Sunday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully held the NEET Phase II examination at various test centres across India while NEET Phase I was conducted on May 1. This year, over 4.5 lakh candidates had registered to appear for the examination.  Also as per the records only 90 per cent took the examination out of the registered lot.

Why are CBSE NEET Exam conducted?

However, many medical colleges including AIIMS will not conduct admissions on the basis of CBSE NEET scores but will have their own entrance examinations. This year, NEET cut-off will range between 540 to 560 out of the 720 maximum marks.
