CBSE has finally conducted the NEET Phase I and NEET Phase 2 successfully after much delays. NEET 2016 Phase 2 was conducted on July 24. It is expected that CBSE will declare the combined result of both the phases on August 17. Lakhs of candidates appeared for the NEET medical entrance exam. It is expected that the normalization of the scores of NEET 1 and NEET 2 will be used for preparing the AIPMT rank lists for MBBS and BDS course . It is also expected that the best of two scores will be used for normalization process.
NEET cutoff 2016 is the minimum marks which the candidates must secure in order to qualify the examination. The CBSE wil prepare the merit list/ wait list as per the directives of Supreme Court of India, DGHS, MCI and DCI. No category wise result sheet will be prepared. As son as the result is ready, CBSE wil host the results on the website and thereafter candidates may download the Result Shets. Al Candidates appearing in NET – 2016 Examination must remain in touch with the websites of CBSE, MOHFW, Medical Counseling Committee and Participating States/Universities/ Institutions til conclusion of final round of Counseling.
Candidates are required to note that the record of All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test/ National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is preserved up to 60 days from the date of declaration of result. In order to be eligible for the admission to MBS/BDS Courses, a candidate should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology at the Qualifying Examination.
