IPU CET 2017 Application Form available now

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has made available the application form for Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) 2017 on February 16, 2017. Candidates, who wish to appear in IPU CET 2017 for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes can apply now. The IPU CET 2017 application is available in online mode only. Candidates can apply till April 4, which is the last date for application filling.

Apart from filling the application form of IPU CET 2017, the applicants also need to pay the application fee. The application fee can only be paid online. In the IPU CET application form 2017, there are two forms – one is for filling personal/general information, while the other is for filling course related details and about fee payment.

For admission year 2017-18, the university has made some changes for B.Tech admissions in eligibility criteria, application form, etc. See below what is new in IPU CET in 2017.

 

What’s new in IPU CET 2017?

  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam, which is class 12th or equivalent in the year 2017 are not eligible for appearing in IPU CET 2017 as there is no option available for them while filling the application form.
  • For admission year 2017-18, Aadhaar Card is required while filling the application form, however, it’s optional and not mandatory.

All aspiring candidates must bear in mind that before applying for the entrance test, they must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria of IPU CET 2017.

GGSIPU has prescribed the following IPU CET Eligibility Criteria for B. Tech 2017:

  • Applicants must have passed class 12th exams (CBSE/equivalent board).
  • They must have obtained an aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, provided they have passed in each subject separately.
  • Candidates must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective or functional).

Who can’t apply?

 

Students who are appearing in class 12 exam or equivalent in 2017 are not eligible for IPU CET 2017.

 

IPU CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria for B. Tech in Bio Technology (Course code-130)

GGSIPU has prescribed the following IPU CET Eligibility Criteria 2017 for B. Tech in Bio Technology.

  • Applicants must have passed class 12th exams (CBSE/equivalent board).
  • Candidates must have obtained an aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, provided they have passed in each subject separately.
  • Applicants must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective or functional).

GGSIPU has prescribed the following IPU CET Eligibility Criteria 2017 for B. Tech in Bio Technology.

  • Applicants must have passed class 12th exams (CBSE/equivalent board).
  • Candidates must have obtained an aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, provided they have passed in each subject separately.
  • Applicants must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective or functional).

Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will conduct IPU CET 2017 on April 23 for admissions to various undergraduate engineering programmes.

 

Candidates desirous of taking IPU CET 2017 must have passed class 12th of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Apart from this, they are also required to have passed in all these subjects separately. They should also have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/ functional) in the qualifying test.

 

Apart from the application availability, the university has also released some other important dates of the events of IPU CET 2017.

 

According to IPU CET officials, IPU CET 2017 will be conducted on April 23, from 2 pm to 4.30 pm, while the result for the engineering entrance test will be declared on May 9, 2017. All applicants must appear in the CET conducted. Qualifying candidates will be offered admission into B.Tech programmes based on the merit/rank in CET.
