Students of Narayana group of institutions continued their good performance in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE-Main) results that were declared on Thursday.

Students of these institutions secured first and second ranks in South India scoring 345 marks and 6th (Mohan Abhyas) and 9th (Varun Tej Chowdary) ranks at the national level in the B.Tech Open Category. In all the categories, the institution bagged eight ranks in the top 10 and 26 ranks in the top 100, said Dr. P. Sindhura Narayana and Sushma at a press conference..

The JEE Main 2017 examination was held on April 2 in the offline mode and on April 8 and 9 in the online mode. The CBSE that conducted the test released the top 2.20 lakh candidates eligible for the JEE (Advanced), held for entry into IITs.

The JEE Main rank is used for admission through Central Seat Allocation Board to National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes. However, candidates should have secured at least 75% marks in the Intermediate exam or be in the top 20 percentile of the Intermediate exam.
